Pre-purchase your brush and paint kit online—then swing by the studio to choose and purchase your bisque in person!

Each kit includes everything you need to get started: paints, brushes, a water cup, glazing, and firing. Orders are typically ready within 24 hours.

Painting Tips & Guidelines

🎨 Apply 3 Coats

For solid, vibrant colors and smooth coverage, apply three coats of paint. Let each coat dry for 3–5 minutes before adding the next.

🌈 Light First, Then Dark

Always start with light colors—they won’t show up well if layered over darker shades. Choose light colors for your background when possible.

🖌️ Unpainted Areas

Anything left unpainted will fire to a shiny white finish.

✏️ Sketching Designs

You’re welcome to sketch on your piece with pencil—it burns off in the kiln!

✅ Use Only Our Paints

Please do not use Sharpies, markers, or outside paints—only Color Me Mine paints are safe for firing.

🖋️ Initial Your Piece

Be sure to initial your work with paint (not pencil or marker) so we can identify it after firing.
